Personality: Visions is a quirky horse, and always has been. She never ran without her blue ball in the hands of her owner or trainer, and had issues with performing consistently in anything but large stakes races. She lost FAR more than she won, but when she did win, she won big.

Fiery, strong, capable and a bit of a pain in the butt when dealing with her blue ball, Visions was actually a bit of a joke, even before she was born.

History: When Vision's mother was pregnant, the owner of the farm simply assumed that the foal would be useless, much like any other offspring from the racing farms main stud stallion. The horse had an exceptional racing career, but lacked at stud.

Now, at times before, the owner of said farm, who wishes to remain nameless for his embarassment, gave the not-yet-born foal to his family friends to remove any debt left over from the original loan to start the racing farm. He had been paying off the debt for years, but to FINALLY be free from that debt...and to simply give a foal over was a much preferable than giving back money that could be used for other things.

The broodmare was trekked out to his neighbours farm, Birth of the Sun Stables, and left to give birth. The foal, however, was exceptional. She was born pure startling white, with pink skin.

It was then that the owners of Birth of the Sun Stables knew they had something special.

CLARIFICATION!

The Ww gene in this mare is NOT Sabino related, and therefore nothing to do with the OLWS. Like Yukichan, the origin of the white gene in this horses line is unknown and unidentified, but is assumed to be either 2, 5 or 7 of the KIT gene alleles.

Neither of her parents were sabino, nor had any white markings of any sort. One was Smokey Black, the other Bay.

"The term "dominant white" is reserved for known W alleles. Dominant white horses are heterozygous for any one of 11 known alleles of the KIT gene (e.g. W8/+). Homozygosity for some of the 11 known alleles may not create a viable embryo. In contrast, Sabino-White horses are homozygous for the Sabino 1 allele of the KIT gene (SB1/SB1)." ;3 I love genetics.
